Design and quality

The name "Basket" comes from the weaving technique "basket weave" where groups of threads are interlaced so that they form a simple criss-cross pattern, associated with woven baskets. The rugs are soft as wool giving you great peace of mind in any room - at any occasion.

 

Material and Sustainability
All rugs are handmade solely of recycled PET yarn - recycled plastic bottles spun into a hair thin polyester thread. This is a 100% sustainable material, super soft and absolutely similar in look and feel to wool. No synthetic coating is used. Handmade and recycled products will always have minor differences when we compare them as they are not made by machines nor from virgin material. Smaller variations in colour, shading, texture and shape are inherent in a handmade and recycled item. And remember, this is really what makes your rug truly one-of-a-kind.

 

Exceptionally easy maintenance

Recycled PET yarn rugs are extremely easy to keep looking good. The rugs do not absorb liquids, and any spilt substances, such as as coffee, red wine, or dirt from outside is cleaned off quickly by wiping with just a little water and a mild detergent (don't machine wash). Hang to dry. Otherwise, frequent vacuum cleaning without a brush will keep your rug looking beautiful and new.
